6069-T6 Alloy with Welded Seams

We chose 6069-T6 aluminum because it is the highest-strength alloy available for making rims and is 40% stronger than 6061-T6 in fatigue loading. Additionally, we opted to weld our rims instead of sleeving them to ensure the strongest joining method, with the added benefit of a simpler, more airtight tubeless setup.

Asymmetric Rim Profile

We chose to utilize an asymmetric rim design to make the assembled wheelset stronger. Asymmetric rims equalize the tension between the drive and disc side (on the rear wheel) and the disc and non-disc side (on the front wheel). This means the Coven wheelset will stay true longer and handle impacts better than symmetric wheels. Additionally, we made the profile shallower in order to add as much compliance as possible in the vertical direction. Lastly, a wide hookless sidewall puts material where it matters to minimize pinch flats and bent rims.

Customizable Premium Finish

Most brands reserve customization for their high end carbon wheels. Just because they are alloy shouldn’t mean that you can’t get the same high quality finish. Our Coven rims are polished and masked before final media blasting, this allows us to retain an extremely durable high end logo treatment that lends well to custom decal placement. Want to match the Tenet rim logos to your frame paint color? Not a problem.

BUILT FOR ABUSE

Our ETRTO compliant rim profile has been engineered to "take a lickin and keep on tickin". An extra thick hookless bead and spoke bed maintain material in the most important places and ensure that they're up to the task.
